Hi all - my father passed away and I am having my 26 yo brother (younger) walk me down the aisle. We are very close. My question is...what is an appropriate brother/sister dance song? We do not want Unforgettable, What A Wonderful World or Wind Beneath My Wings. My brother is an excellent dancer, believe or not, so we could kick things up a notch, ala Queen's 'You're My Best Friend' or Seals and Croft's 'Diamond Girl.' Any thoughts? Are the lyrics to these songs too romantic?

I'm not sure what you mean by kick it up a notch, do you mean you want something fast beat and funky?
Anyway here are a few nice songs that are appropriate for brother/sister dance:
Elton John's 'Your song' Kenny Rogers 'Through the Years' (I love this song, just thinking of it, gives me chills) Paul Anka 'Times of your Life'

I wanted a dance with my 2 brothers as well and spent weeks thinking about an 'appropriate' song We then realized that we were driving ourselves crazy and gave up thinking about it for awhile I still need to pick something and I just dont know what myself..
maybe James Taylor.. you've got a friend?

Hmmm....I will think about it. I think you should kick it up a notch. Since it is not a traditional dad/daughter thing then go with a faster song.

I danced with my brother at my wedding we used 'I Turn to You' by Christina Aguilera
Edit to Say: I thought this song was perfect because its not romantic and it sounds more like a good friendship song.

What about Heaven must have sent you by Bonnie Pointer? It is a fast/fun song and I don't think the lyrics are romantic.

I never heard of that song, Jen (by Bonnie Pointer that is). I also like the Aint No Mountain High Enough song.
