Re: Bruises
sorry i have no idea.
I bruise really easily too and had bruises on my legs before the wedding. I was being SUPER careful not to bump into anything or do nething before the wedding that could give me bruises on my arms since that would be seen in my dress.
maybe if they dont go away u can have the makeup person cover them?

Re: Bruises
I bruise like that to. Just try putting some makeup over them if they bother you that much.

Re: Bruises
I don't remember the name of it...but I got a huuuuuuge bruise on my leg one time and a friend recommended some cream...probably if you go to CVS and ask for bruise cream they will give you something.
This stuff really took care of it...the bruise went away much faster than I thought it would!

Re: Bruises
you can try the 'hickey' treatment- an ice cube and a comb. Bruises are collections of blood right below the skin, so freezing it helps stop the flow and combing over it helps spread out the blood so the skin heals quicker.
HTH!

Re: Bruises
I remember using heat for a few minutes and then cold for a few minutes (repeat) to have vessels open and constrict, but this says heat after the first 24 hours.
Also, massage with fingertips a few times during the day.
Instructions on eHow
Step 1 Make sure to have an ice pack in your freezer at all times. This will enable you to put it on the bruise as soon as it happens. You will likely want to keep the ice pack on the bruise for a minimum of 15 minutes. This will help minimize the chance of getting a bruise and minimize the degree of any bruise you get. You will want to repeat this treatment every two hours for 24 hours. Make sure not to apply heat in between treatments, although this will likely be very tempting and heat may initially make the bruise feel better.
Step 2 Next after the 24 hour period is over use heat. The reason you do this is that for the first 24 hours you want to constrict the blood vessels so that less blood will spill into the tissue from broken blood vessels. The blood in the tissues is what causes bruises. After 24 hours the blood vessels will likely have sealed so you want to use heat to improve circulation by dilating the vessels.
Step 3 Make sure to elevate the area where your bruise it because liquids including blood tend to move downhill so by elevating the area you will encourage the blood to move out of those areas.
Step 4 Now add vitamin C to your diet. There are several studies that suggest vitamin C helps prevent and heal bruises. This is because it helps build protective collagen around the blood vessels.
Step 5 Pay attention to what medicines you are taking. There are many medicines that will inhibit clotting or thin blood which can put you at a much larger risk of developing a bruise. If you are taking medicines, drinking a significant amount of alcohol, or abusing drugs contact a medical professional to discuss bruising. All of these things put you at a greater risk for bruising. 6. Step 6
Note that if you do not discover your bruise immediately or within the first 24 hours you may want to skip the ice and go straight to heat because chances are the healing process has already begun.

Re: Bruises
massage them... it breaks up the blood under the skin causing them and helps it go away faster!

Re: Bruises
Have you had blood work recently. Make sure your platelets are ok. I once went to the Dr. because I was covered in bruises, my platelets were so low I was immediately admitted into the hospital because I have I.T.P. (low blood platelets).

Re: Bruises
Not to freak you out but you should go to the DR... it could be a sign of anemia if you don't remember hurting yourself. I highly suggest you getting it checked out... this same exact thing happened to my brother's fiance and she was anemic

LOL so funny you should post this...I just told FH, coming in mid August...he is on strict orders not to poke, pinch, nibble etc....I bruise ridiculously easy.
Now, I just have to stop walking into things, like my desk.....the other night I smacked my arm into my utility closet in my kitchen...I am a total klutz
