BTDT Moms or anybody that knows one...

I need a review on highchairs. I know I don't need one any time soon, but I figure I'll put it on my registry and maybe it will be one less thing I need to buy on my own!

I did a search, but not much on highchairs. What have you ladies used? I know some are notorious for too many crevices for food, straps not being easy enough to remove for cleaning, vinyl vs. cloth seats, heavy trays, etc. Also, my sister always told me she never found one where the tray comes close enough to a small baby...

Reviews Please!

I have the Chicco- prima pappa...mine has a clear tray that snaps on top of another tray- the underneath tray is molded platic and had toy puzzle pieces..
It works great for us!
Easy to clean and use

did not use it until Julianne could sit up on her own without slumping over too much...

Patrick has the Graco double tray. It's great because there is a small tray that keeps them in place. (it also has a belt) You have 2 options sitting up or leaning back. It's got a removable cloth seat that you can machine wash. I really do love it!

Make sure that whichever you choose they your child can stay in place once the tray is in. My friends highchair had to much space in between the child & the tray so her daughter NEVER stayed in it.

Re: BTDT Moms or anybody that knows one...

I am getting the Baby Trends. I think the ones with the detable food trays are great. I read the BRU site reviews (which are amazon.com reviews)

The Baby Trend High Chair in Tahoe features a 6-position height adjustment which enables the use as an acitivity chair or adjust the height of the chair to the dinner table for convenient feeding. The 4-position reclining seat eanables the use of high chair from birth to 40 pounds. Tray remains level while footrest reclines with the seat for baby's comfort. The 3-position one hand removable tray enables high chair to grow with baby. Tray can be close to accommodate a younger baby or further away for a toddler. Tray is stored on the rear of the chair. 5-point harness holds baby securely and sturdy steel construction will provide many years of use. Deep tray helps to contain spills and includes a convenient cup holder. Seperate dishwasher safe food try snaps on & off easily. Folds easily and compactly for travel storage.

Emma has this chair. It is the Neat Seat by Graco. Its on wheels so it can be moved easily. The tray is also removable. AND the tray is large so when baby is trying to chuck food it lands on the tray and not on the floor.

The chair that got the best reviews was the Fisher Price Healthy Care, but I didn't like the look of it so I registered for and got the Peg Perego Prima Pappa.
