BTDT moms-strollers

BTDT moms-strollers

I think we made a mistake with our stroller situation. My SIL said don't buy a big stroller or travel system b/c she had a 5 yr old Peg Perego that was still in good condition. She gave it to us, and after a couple of months it won't collapse and it looks like we either have to pay to repair it, or it's not repairable.

I got a Maclaren, Quest from my registry. We haven't used it yet, since Lyla doesnt hold her head up completey yet. My question is since this stroller is not a carriage-type and does not recline all the way, are we going to regret not having one that she can sleep in?

I don't want to spend anymore on $$ on gear, but I don't want her to be uncomfortable.

We've also been using the snap-n-go and it will last at least a couple of months, as long as she fits in the infant car seat.

How far does it recline? Can you get one of those things that holds her head in place for the stroller incase she does fall asleep she doesnt look like her head is wobbling off?

I bet she will be able to hold her head up in a few months Niha- just as the snap and go is being out grown and she needs to move up to her next one.

Michele, I know that she will be able to use the Maclaren soon, but the thing is that it doesnt recline as much as a regular stroller. It's more of a umbrella stroller.

Niha - Emma has fallen asleep in her umbrella stroller and was fine. We've had it since she was 7 months old.

I would think she would be okay. Why not try it when the time come, and if she isn't comfty then you can look into buying something else. but I bet you will be okay.

I was unhappy with my first stroller pick too. I have a Combi Ultra Savvy and it is lightweight, folds small but hardly has a basket to hold things. I hated it. I ended up also getting a Graco mallrat stroller that weighs 20 lbs and is much bigger (and less than 1/3 the price of the Combi) and I love it when I go shopping, you wouldnt believe how much I can hold in this thing. But guess what? I now love the Combi too - it is great for taking him out where I know I wont really be shopping but it's very comfy & durable and really light - and it fits everywhere. So my thought is that there is nothing wrong with getting another to suit your purposes. I personally wouldnt go buy another $300 stroller, I think the Graco was $70 after my 20% off Buybuybaby coupon. And I think the Maclaren will come in handy at other times. Let us know what you do.
