As of right now we are not having any bubbles, bird seed, etc., after our ceremony.. what about the rest of you ? Do you think we need to have something ?

We used wedding rice. It's not actually rice, its little tiny hearts that are rice-like but they dissolve.
People THREW it at it and it hurttttt. but we were cracking up and screaming, lol.
also, people thought it was candy and were EATING it. It was the funniest thing and still makes me laugh, I have no idea why people thought they were getting candy at the church haha.

We're actually not allowed to use anything, not even bubbles! We probably could use ribbon wands since they arent 'thrown' or soapy (which is their issue w/ the bubbles) but we're just leaving it alone.

Since our church won't let us throw anything we are using bubble wands. I got 48 bubble wands for $8.99!!!

Instant Rice... My pastor said that it's perfectly fine. He also let me know that throwing rice at a wedding is for fertility. He said that not cooked rice is difficult for the birds but instant rice is cooked rice that has been dried.

i think its a good alternative for those that can't throw stuff at the church but still want that picture....i also saw this done in pics at the rh or just outside during picture taking...

We are using bubbles. We bought the skinny tubes whit the hearts on the ends and my mom (I love her) sat there and tied a pink and white ribbon into a bow on 150 of them! They came out great! We put them in a white basket and my Jr. Usher is going to hold the basket!
