Bubbles ruining the dress?

Was thinking of getting bubbles for after our ceremony at our church however someone said that that is a bad idea bc it can stain my gown if the bubbles land on my dress. Anyone know if this is true or not? Never even thought of this before. Thanks ladies!

Re: Bubbles ruining the dress?

I had bubbles and my dress was fine. Don't know if some materials will be affected or not, but my dress was taffeta and wasn't affected.

Bubbles ruining the dress?

I haven’t heard this earlier. You can have it, there isn’t any problem.

Bubbles ruining the dress?

It is true. It's more obvious on fabric like silk and satin and when there is a lot of flat surface, no ruching. Fabrics with patterns, such as lace or lots of details like beading and ruching it won't show as much on but the bubbles can still stain. That's one of the reasons I don't want bubbles, I just need to figure out what to do instead. Good Luck!

Although some materials do seem to make it more obvious it is the bubbles...bubbles are just soap and water but when the mix contains more soap it will leave a residue and that is the stain that people will see...you need to make sure you dont have a bubble solution that has a high soap content...just blow the bubbles onto your regular clothes if it leaves residue it will on your dress also

BTW I just looked this up last week here is where I got info and I did see it in more than one place

Re: Bubbles ruining the dress?

I have actually heard this from a friend who got married last year. She actually said it ruined her bridesmaids dresses. I guess with the liquid dripping off the stick it stained them. So if it could do it to their dresses I would assume it could do it to your wedding dress. I would be careful with the bubbles.

Good luck.

Bubbles ruining the dress?

I was in a wedding last year and we had satin dresses and the bubbles left marks all over the dresses.
