Budget

I usually work better when I have a plan. So today I decided to add up all of the random expenses for my wedding...not including RH and vendors. These included rings, favors, bridal party gifts, rehearsal dinner, honeymoon etc.

I figured out that we need to set aside $400 a week for the next 85 weeks!!!!


Someone remind me why we arent eloping?!!!

Edited -- Ok...I redid my figure...and I was rounding up...it's really $325 a week : )

In the same boat here... it gets me sick if I think about it. FH and I just go through the motions and put the cash away. Hopefully we will keep up the saving routine though.

We did discuss eloping, but we really want our families with us. Then we thought of having a Wedding Moon and coming back to have a 'Welcome Home' party... a fraction of the cost of a wedding... LOL. I wouldn't have the expensive white dress, but I could induldge in a gorgeous red dress, etc.

Anyway... I feel your pain.

After you add in all the little things (gifts, hair, shoes, accessories...) it ends up being this INSANE amount of money!!

haha - same here. It is sickening when you add everything up!

everytime i redo my budget it goes up and up and up....so i have just stopped

It's insane. All this time I was just budgeting for vendors...and then realized all the random crap was just as much, if not, more.

Hopefully I am over-budgeting for some things!!

Thats a good idea.. I may boycott addition as well. Planning on saving some cash by having my cousin do my hair and my friend do my make-up. Both are awesome. So I'll save a lot by not doing trials, etc.

just remember addition will give you a lower number than multiplication.

I personally like subtraction.... Look for all the little red sale signs with any % off.... All those little things add up and very quickly...

I had an unrealalistic budget of $10k HAAAAA is all I have to say!! I just booked my last vendor & I'm way over that not inc the gifts & the rest of the s@*% I am prob. forgetting
