What are you doing to save money for wedding?

Me: bring my lunch at least 3-4x a week, limit shopping to a minimum and less eating out

Definitely less eating out, and unfortunately I had to stop shopping I am addicted to Marshalls, so it really sucks that I work right across the street from one. It used to be a really convienent stop on my lunch break

Saving EACH WEEK $30 into our Wedding Box...

Try not to get things we DONT need....

I bring lunch or go home for lunch as much as possible! I also barely go out anymore... Its just so expensive.. Everytime we go out to a bar or something its like $100 or more between the two of us which is CRAZY and a waste of money IMO..
I have my friends over to party at the house instead

-Not shopping for anything that is unecessary..
-Bringing lunch almost every day to work
-Not going out to dinner with friends - maybe just like once every couple of months
-cooking dinner more often
-turned in my car lease early to lease a cheaper car
-taken defensive driving to save on insurance
-hopefully finding a higher paying job VERY SOON!!!
-not going overboard with the wedding spending

Saving on wedding:
-No out of town baskets
-bathroom baskets
-flip flop basket
-viennese hr
-no extra engagement shoot outside of the studio
-having a fall wedding on a fri night
-having a ceremony over a full mass
-not spending a ton on flowers

bringing lunch every day-eating just a granola bar for breakfast to save money (and hopefully help w/weight loss).

No eating out ever-unless it's for a friends b-day.

No shopping-only thing i spend $$ on is house stuff/decorating and even that is limited.

Less grocery shopping-only getting what we NEED and things that are on sale!

One funnny thing i did was i had to go uptown (145th st in NYC and i took the 59th street b/c it was free! Didn't want to pay the toll!! I took the RFK bridge back home cause it was late and i wanted to hurry up home; but otherwise i would have gone the 'free' way again!

Cancelled weight watchers-why spend $40/month. I'll maintain my weight on my own-just hit the gym more...

bring lunch to work everyday

make dinner every night (eat out maybe once a month)

can't remember the last time i went shopping for clothes LOL


but wholesale at Costco

I personally have limited my kindle downloads to 2 books a month only ( i can read 2 books a week if you let me)

FH and I barely go out anymore, and when we do it's very low key things. It def helps and plus I don't mind since it's for the wedding

EXACTLY!! When we're int he house on a Friday night; or thinking about how we used to ALWAYS go out to eat; i just think how it's for a good reason; and i look forward to how things will be after the wedding!!

even though we just starting planning, we were saving for a house before this so...

-taking lunch almost everyday
-not going out as much
-eating at home and eating leftovers (which we never used to do!)
-changed our phone plan to a family plan
-cancelled little extras (rhapsody, premimuim cable channels) - this stuff adds up!
- i also got a part time job but hopefully i'll be getting a better paying job to help too!!

we have saved a lot with these little things and we just have to keep telling ourselves it will be worth it in the end!
