budget for flowers and a little nervous
I am starting to look at florists for my February 16th wedding. Do you girls think that a budget of around $2500 is a right amount for 7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers coursages, 1 bridal bouqet, rose petals for flower girl, 11 boutenaires, a decorated chuppah, and 20 table centerpieces. Please help I have put this off to the last moinute because I am nervous about prices of flowers 2 days after valentine's day. Is silk cheaper? I think they look just as beautiful.

I used Burtons & Sons in Huntington. For about $3000 I got a gorgeous chuppah, 14 table arrangements, bouquets for myself and 4 bms, 6 bouteneirres, pedestals and arrangements for the aisle, plus at least 6 other arrangements for various mantles and such. Oh, also, bathroom and yarmulke baskets. They were incredible! I would definitely recommend them!

I used Murphy and Co. in Bayside and Kevin will work within your budget, starting with the Bridal bouquet, then filling your needs from there. I spent about $2300 for my bouquet, 3 attendants, 3 coursages, 7 bouttenaires, 18 table centerpieces plus alter flowers, pew bows, cake flowers and topper and flowers for the dais and card table. He incorporated things like Ivy, Berries and Queen Anne's Lace which looked different but was not expensive. You can see my bouquet on my profile picture.

it really depends on what type of flowers you want. i got my flowers, maid of honor flowers, 6 bridemaids flowers, flower girl basket and crown, 20 center pieces, 11 boutineers, 2 mothers flowers and two grandmother's flowers, along with a card table arrangement and flower petals scattered on the cake table and headtable for $1200. (the flowers are mainly yellow and white roses in all arrangements) We got a little discount b/c we are using the house florist for our reception site. We are using Malkmes Florists in Port Jeff.

I am using Perfect Parties By Merav, She is wonderful. To keep our cost down I am using wild flowers and not a lot of roses. we are doing flower pots with garden like arrangements for the centerpieces with ivy and rose petals on the tables for color-- I think my total came to under $3,000.

It all depends on what you hall is including. I used the Milleridge florists. I used the arrangements the hall supplies, 1/2 dozen white roses. I didn't have bridesmaids, so my flowers: two mons, one grandma, and three bouteniers came out to $300. My bouquet was different shades of white roses - absolutely beautiful. I didn't spend a forture and the tables they looked very simple & elegant. If you want to stay on a budget, ask what's in season and keep it simple.Welcome New Vendors
