I was looking for an idea as to how much to budget for certain things- and which if any I will be able to stay within my budget for-- If you havent booked things yet- would you post what you've budgeted? And if you HAVE will you post what you've budgeted and how much you went over for any of these:
There is a good wedding budget tool on Brides.com. If you set a total budget it will give you an estimate of what each should be. Also if you want to spend more money on one thing it will automatically take off from others and still keep the same budget.

Photography & Videography- a friend of mine is spending a combined package for $7,000, I know that she has alot of extra's witht that (I have not gotten this far yet)
DJ/Band- I am spending less than $1,000 for a DJ who is a friend of the family
Reception- $23,000
Limo's- We are only using it one way so far for the groomsmen and groom and dad for $350-
Wedding Rings- FH band is less than $300-
Flowers- I have no idea yet
DOC- I have heard $1,000 to $1,500
Invitations- Have not gotten that far
Wedding Gown- I PLAN on spending less than $800-

You can include the honeymoon too
You don't have to include the HM. We are only counting the wedding expenses. To us the HM is going to be a long over due vacation since we don't go away ever.

Yea I have always wondered how much you should spend on certain things if you set a budget of lets say 35,000$....
usually they say if you spent 20 thousand $ on your hall double it and thats the total cost of the wedding...but i dont think that will be like that in my case...cause i am making my own invites and not doing certain things

Really?? I didn't know that although it's pretty accurate!!!
All I know is we are definitely going over budget!!! We keep justifying extras by saying 'well its only 600 more', and that adds up!!! My friend said always add 10 grand onto what you originally thought lol.

honestly its hard to go by what others have spent on each thing because everyone has a different budget, and for everyone certain things are more important to them than others...For example some people think photography is most important and will splurge on that, others will think flowers are and spend alot on that while others will save in this area.
I think you should figure out which are most important to you, and the other things try to budget for and get it for less.
Plus each thing can vary greatly...Some people will spend $1200 on flowers and others will spend $5000 and up...Same with everything else such as wedding gown, photography and so on...its real hard to go by what others have.
I think what you need to do is sit down with Fh and come up with a budget...There was a thread not too long ago on this...Dont just pick a number you think sounds decent, actually sit down and calculate how much you two will be able to spend. What i did was take how much I make a month, then minus monthly expenses from that and see what youre left with each month, also take out a certain amount for everyday spending, i took out for public transportation and little things. Then take the amount you are left with each month and multiply it by the amount of months until your wedding and that will give you an amount you can spend on the wedding.
If you picked your RH already it will be easier bc you will already know how much you will spend there...Then what is left over you will have to split between all the vendors and everything else you will spend for your wedding...this way you can see how much you are able to spend on each thing.

Video-photo 2K Reception Hall- 13000k So far haha guest lists keeps going up up up. Dj 2K Favors- My landlord and I are making them ( gorgeous)Total 135$ Centerpieces, My BF is helping me make them, Hurricane vases, flower peddles, tea lites, and floating flowers total 200$
Invites doing them ourselves Fh is so handy!! 75$ Gown 1200$
Limo and Bus 1500$
With honeymoon we are hoping to budget at 25K

and here are things to add to your list, that you don't have there
First make sure that for invitations you are also including postage, thank you cards, dont know if youre doing STD's and if you do programs and menu's include those too.
Tuxedo's
Wedding day attire not including gown, such as headpiece, veil, shoes, garter, jewelry
Make-up and hair, manicure and pedicure
Marriage License
If youre doing place cards then include that
favors
Dont forget to include tips on the day of the wedding, that can add up
bridal party gifts and also if you do parents gifts
Hotel-if you plan on staying in one
ceremony fee's
dont know if in your photography you are including albums, bc some people pay for that later on
honeymoon
Welcome gift baskets if you do that, bathroom baskets if you do that
