Budgeting

Our budget is made up from gifts from my parents, FH's parents, and the amount that FH and I can afford. I've been counting everything as one big budget. Are others doing this too or are you breaking it out into separate budgets?

like, parents are giving X amount - will use that amount for flowers, limos and whatever....?

or, just count it all up into one budget?

i guess it all depends on how u want to do it...i would think it would be easier in this case to just pool all of the money together and budget it that way..it may get confusing to separate it into categories...

i think it's easier to pool all the money together - provided they give them to u as lump sum -- i know of friends whose family are control-freaks and have to have a say about everything bec they're providing the funds -- i think this will all depend on your particular situation
