Re: buffet question/menu
You can still do it if you want to!! That way it'll give your guests an idea of what's at the buffet and should cut down on the time they spend on line.
I know I often ask what stuff is from the servers before I take it, which is what I think takes so long for the people waiting on line. Alreadying knowing what's being served should speed things up a bit.

Re: buffet question/menu
I went to a wedding at a hotel that had menus... and then I was completely confused because it was a buffet. It wasnt the worst idea... I just sat down, started checking out what I would consider ordering and then all of a sudden lines started forming for the buffet.
Its not bad, just confusing if the buffet isnt obvious.
The plus side is... everyone knows whats up there and the line moves smoother

I think having a menu is a great idea! Let's the guests know ahead of time what is available there instead of people deciding once they are there and creating a longer line

yeah i agree! just make sure you make it clear on the menu that it's buffet....and it will probably make the line move faster.
