Bugs??????

Okay, maybe I'm easily shaken but...

A girl at my job (whose not the nicest person in the world) knows I'm seriously considering getting married at the Vineyard Caterers - outside overlooking the vineyard when the grapes are on the vines in September/october and of course (b/c thats the way she is) she had to find something negative to say and said 'Ewwwe, I'd never get married in a vineyard - all those fruit flies come out in September/October - they're so gross!'

She said that she went wine tasting out there once and that the bugs were horrible around sept and oct b/c of all the grapes. Other's at my office agreed with her. Should I be worried??????

I'm in the same boat with out of town guests, but will probably use the Hampton inn if I go with Vineyard Caterers since they have a shuttle for Islip airport and for the hall.

I saw the place in August and it seemed fine. I just wanted to know if anyone had any problems with that at that time of the year.

I agree that she's got a jealous streak, she's kind of one of those you'd read about in the National Enquirer - she seems to hate her FH too the way she's so nasty when she talks about him. Very sad, but that's her issue to deal with, mine is to make sure that my guests aren't bothered by fruit flies

You're getting married in October, I dont think its going to be an issue. Maybe in the middle of July or August, but October?

I'm sure she's just trying to be a catty little loser who, when jealous, has nothing nice to say but has to say something, so she'll say Eww.

If it eases your mind a bit, why don't you call the vineyard and ask them that question--I'm sure they'll be very honest with you.
