Nothing short of awesome! Not a bad word to say about anything they did or their ideas...
I just feel like I was quoted higher than what I know some of you other girls have gotten from her for more than what I needed, so I feel a little bummed.
Maybe my tastes were too extravagant? I wasn't using ANY exotcis (orchids, lilies, etc)...Only roses. I do have a large BP, but still, I only need 10 CPs...
Ah well.

I suggest looking at Flower Barn- they quoted us lower than everyone else.

Sorry why not try contacting them and telling them they were alittle high and if they lower it a bit youll book. They do great work. Good luck!

also, if its possible for u, ask them if you pay cash, could they lower the price? usually they can drop it a few hundred dollars

That WAS paying cash I think I am jsut perplexed. I'm doing roses, I am not doing church pieces/pew bows...I feel like girls are getting more for that same price, KWIM?

I also met with Designs by Rose last week after hearing all the great reviews. I was looking for high & low for about a total of 15-16 tables, 2 set of parents, 2 FG's, bridal party (4 BM & 4 GM), my bouquet, and a simple ceremony set-up.
With the high & low, I pretty much came out with the same quote I received from Burton's (it may have been a little bit more) - so I was expecting DBR to be a little bit less too. But, then she showed me a CP that she had done for a wedding, 10 Calla Lillies & 20 Stemmed Orchids in a 24 inch trumpet vase. Since you don’t need many of these flowers or fillers, you get the most of your money by using Calla Lillies & Orchids (from what I read and was told by them). So, I was very happy to find that I could get all high CP's for $100 each. So, my entire quote was about $150 more than Burton's but I am getting all high CP's where with Burton's I was getting half high and half low. I have a pic in my album of the CP (minus the branches) I will be getting and I will be meeting with them again and they will be making my actual CP.
So, I was told it really depends on the type of flowers. I know you mentioned you would like roses, so I am not too sure the cost of them. But when I was asking how much the high & low CP before I found the Calla Lillies, she gave me a quote of $120 (high) & $80 (low).
Also, the girl with the $65 high CP - I did see the picture and it looked like it was all Ochids - so that may be the reason it was less expensive. Hope this helps!

if you think the quote was kind of high, then try some local florists to see if their price range is a little lower, if not then try the florist that is recommended by the hall...sometimes they give you a break if they are associated with the hall. your quote shouldn't be too bad with roses, depending on the type of centerpiece you want.

i know some roses are extremely expensive. you can either: a.) get a similar looking flower or b.) just have a less expensive rose.
(i'm at a losss right now obn the $$ roses but i thought a Queen something or other was one anone other one)
