We picked up our proofs the other day and yesterday I showed them to DH to pick a thank you card. HE DOESNT LIKE THEM!!
He thinks 'he looks fat' (isnt that a change for us ladies) and too posed. We were going to take engagement pics but DH said 'wait till I loose weight' Well he didnt loose any and kept putting it off. The first thing he says when he saw them was 'Am I really that fat? Holy *^%)
I am ok with them.I think he just looks nervous in some (he does horrible posed smiles) Overall, I would have prefered more photojournalistic but what can you do? I'm not sweating it really.
But now all I can think about is how DH hates the pics. It is making looking at the pics hard cuz I seriously jsut want to cry (I am not even emotional!)
I suggested we do a 'Day After' ot 1 year anniv shots if he wants.
Any ideas on what I can do/say to DH? I am reallu bummed by this!

ohhhhhhhhh, there isn't one he likes??? maybe you have a non-wedding pic of the 2 of you to use? keep reminding him that he dones't look that bad and you love him just the same!

I just looked at some of your wedding photos and you both look great! Tell him a black tux is very flattering and he shouldn't be upset at all! You can always take more photos later too!

What about a candid shot that isn't a full body? That way he isn't posed and doesn't feel to self conscious. He can't find a few that he likes? Your DH really isn't over weight! He shouldn't feel so self conscious. I hope that everything works out!

I am so sorry!! FH is JUST like that!
We have our engagement pictures on July 14th and he kept saying he was going to lose weight and *SURPRISE* he hasn't.
He is going to say he looks fat in all of them and make this process miserable because he CHOSE to not work out to look better in the pics.
I just hope it is a wake up call before the wedding pictures!!

Why don't you go through the pictures and find some that you like and then crop them so they are just your faces? Do you think he would be ok with that? Just a thought, HTH.

I just looked at your picture and he looks adorable. If fact you both do! Your husband is just being too hard on himself. I particularly love the one in your album, right before the one of you guys cutting the cake. Beautiful and very natural. Give him some time. The more he sees them the less the will hate them.

Tell your husband that 'I' .. said he looks damn cute!.. and. he does NOT look fat! In fact the second one in your album would be a nice choice.. IMO. I like the first one a lot too.. heck.. they are all so cute.
Please try not to doubt or be bummed... and dont examine the photos so closely... ;) . I think the ones you posted are adorable.

i can relate to him...i hate the way my face looks in pictures and people tell me im crazy all the time..they think im so photogenic...Tell him to suck it up..what he sees is not what everyone else sees...besides he looks great...

Thanks for the cheering up. I'm hoping he'll visit the pictures in a week and change his mind.
DH was a wrestler in HS so he was always skinny, when were at college he was 130-150 max. Now that we've graduated, got an apt, full time jobs hes put on another 20.
It itsnt really his body he dislikes (well besides hes beer belly- which isnt even that bad) its his face. See I gained 20 lbs since HS but it all went to my boobs his went to his mid section and face.
Maybe this is the inspiration he needs to get in shape for the summer and for the future.

tell ur hubby that he's crazy & all the LIW brides said how great u & him BOTH look in ur wedding photos!!! i think all the pics are nice - he's probably just feeling a little down about himself(we all know how that can be)...just reassure him & make him feel good about himself & the photos!
