'Bump'

Alright, I'm kind of confused. Everyone is saying that they will bump threads or sometimes I just see the word 'bump,' I've got to know, what the heck is this and what do you do to 'bump a thread' to someone.

when you want to find a thread from a while ago someone will 'bump' it up... to the top of the list so you can find it.
