Re: Bungalow
We stayed in an overwater bungalow in Bora-Bora and a beach bungalow in Moorea. It was AMAZING!! This was a picture I took while standing on the deck of ours, looking over at some others

AHH! This is exactly what I've been trying to explain to people that I want for my honeymoon!! How much better does this sound than just a regular hotel room?? Glad I'm not the only one with weird requests haha!

Re: Bungaloo
Overwater bungalows start at around $700 a night.
Our overwater bungalow in bora bora is costing us more than $1k a night.
Garden and beach bungalows are a bit cheaper.

Re: Bungaloo
We had a 'premium overwater bungalow' at the Le Meridian in Bora Bora and it was $904/night. The premium is the same actual bungalow just the location is better.
We had a 'beach bungalow suite' in Moorea at the Moorea Pearl and it was (I think) $495/night
ETA: Most of the hotels have 'Overwater Bungalows' and 'Premium Overwater Bungalows' you may want to ask what the difference is for the hotel you're inquiring at. I am SO GLAD we chose a 'premium' because it was MUCH more private.

Re: Bungaloo
Bora Bora definitely has a premium price tag. My above price was for Bora Bora.
Other islands are cheaper. I think you can get an overwater bungalow in Tahiti or Moorea for about $500.

Re: Bungaloo
I will post a few pics... They were like suites, they were gorgeous. The pics don't do it justice and we really should have cleaned up before we took pics..
This was our overwater bungalow on the inside:
Me on the 'glass floor'
We were outside in the water looking at the bungalow
DH on the deck, me about to go in the water
This is the beach bungalow suite in Moorea

TOTALLY depends on where you are at the hotel and what hotel you're at - it was about 8 feet for us, but there were others that were like 2 feet.

FYI it is my understanding that French Polynisian is the only place that has bungalow's.
