Bunny bite!

Bunny bite!

Okay ladies..I know I haven't posted for a while but I really need your help/advice...

Last month a child in my class was giving away a rabbit. He said she was friendly and didn't bite. She stayed with a second grade class unitl the end of the year b/c I had a student with an allergy. The students held her and she bounced around the room.

Fast forward to now...she's home with me since Friday...been sweet as pie (I've held her and everything)until this morning. She's been living in one of our bathrooms so that she has more room to room around. I was cleaning the cage and I heard her rastling around the other room.

She basically had eaten the sheet rock and pulled a strip off the wall. I tried to take the strip from her when she made an awful sound and bit me!!!!

NOW WHAT??

I can't have a class pet that might bite my thrid graders...in a weird way I'm afraid of her now too...

HELP!!!!

Re: Bunny bite!

I would try to find someone who is experienced with bunnies to take her. She sounds like she's getting aggressive. I had a few bunnies that started off super sweet and then turned out to be something straight from Cujo. Can you contact a rescue group or nature preserve?

Cujo??? Oh boy!
I spoke to someone from school today about a possible new home...nature preserve is a good idea too.

Thanks for the help...
