burgundy/merlot bridesmaid dresses- flowers?

hi- i was just wondering if anyone's bridemaid dresses were a burgundy/merlot color? i want some ideas for flowers? i was thinking of going w/ light flowers, since the dresses are dark, so they show up in the pictures...any suggestions would be welcome! thanks so much!

What about yellow mixed with a darker color. Have you seen the mini calle lillies - they are maroon and whitish yellow (white closer to stem/maroon on the outer edge). Maybe a clutch of those?!?!?

My girls dresses are that color -- we are using yellow, and burgandy and pink --- a reall wild flower look -- very fall-ish . We used a small flower called ' waxflower' it is really nice..

i have seen the mini call lilies !i loved them! i was thinking of the blush mini calli lily mixed with some with light pink roses , and cream roses.....thats one possibilty......i might run that by my florist !

burgundy/merlot bridesmaid dresses- flowers?

Mine are that color and I'm starting to forget what we discussed in the way of flowers! I was going to do cream colored roses with just a few black magic. I thought it looked elegant, but then I saw all the samples in the florists and decided I wanted COLOR! So he is doing mostly roses with other flowers and berries in oranges and golds, red, all fall colors.

My girls are wearing burgandy dresses...they bouquets will have cream kiss roses, the green hydrandea with the pinkish tips and some greenery and berries. Hope this helps!!!

Our girls are wearing burgundy..

I really wanted to do yellow roses, but the yellow roses are just too bright and strong against our shade of burgundy. We just met with our florist this week, Flowers by Brian, and Bobbi brought up a perfect match for us. The rose (called Harmony rose) is a creamy pale color, not white, and the tips are sort of a purplish-pink, only very soft. I asked her to mix in berries (I think they`re called dark hyperium) .. and it looked great. They`re going to be a clutch, with very little greenery. I know exactly what you mean about wanting a light colored bouquet against the burgundy dresses. This mix should look great .. it really looked sharp against the swatch. Bring a swatch to your florist, and keep asking questions until you find something you`re comfortable with. Like I said, I had really wanted the girls to carry yellow roses, but this combination just fits much better. Good Luck!
