Have any of you ladies ever been (or know someone who has) burned from a tanning bed? I went yesterday for the first time in like 4 years and I was on their lightest bed. I used the lotion they sold me ($80 ) and stayed on the bed for 10 mins. Well, by 9PM my back was totally burned. It feels just like a sunburn. It su.ckssss!
Did I do something wrong? I have been on tanning beds before and this has never happened.

you can burn in a tanning bed like you can in the sun... 10 minutes can be a long time depending on the bed, sounds like it was a little too strong for you
put on aloe and dont go tanning until the burn subsides

My sister did that last year. You should have only done maybe 4 minutes the 1st time and built up the time as you start to tan.

I remember going for the first time and I told them how sun sensitive I was and she said I'd be fine with 4 minutes...I got fried! You should be fine with 4 now since you've got a base, but be very very careful!

Burns happen all the time on tanning beds. They are sooooo bad for you. But I can totally understand the appeal of them, and will use them in my future.
I can't believe you spent $80 on lotion. Was is made of gold?

I know right!!? Supposedly the original price was $125 but I got a discount as a 'new member'. Also, it wasn't even the one they were trying to sell me! The one I got was 'lower end'. Ya, sure!
