Re: Burton's for dresses
I ordered my dress, and my BM's dresses from burtons. Got GREAT prices, and free headpiece and veil! I dont know how fabulous they are with alterations yet, but I will be on top of them. My first fitting is in about 8 weeks or less.

Re: Burton's for dresses
I ordered my dress from Burton's and the women there are very nice. I still have several months before my dress comes in and I have to deal with fittings, so I'm not sure how they are in that respect.

The dress I like is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper their- I just wanted to make sure that there were no horror stories before I order it.

Re: Burton's for dresses
I got my dress from Burtons and was very happy with their service until the day of the wedding. After the last fitting, they were supposed to hem the dress. They insisted that I not try it on when I picked it up as they had already pressed it. Well, when I put on the dress on the day of the wedding, they hadn't hemmed it. There was a big fold at the bottom where the hem should have been. I pretty much forgot about it until I got the pictures. Now in every full-length picture, you notice the messed up hem. It looked horrible. My sister's BM dress also had a messed up hem but they fixed hers since she tried it on at pick-up time. I would definitely recommend them for purchasing a dress but, as for alterations, I would either take the dress elsewhere or make sure you try it on at pick-up. Good luck
