Burton's Bridal Salon

Anyone been? Do they have a big selection? Are they nice to deal with? Are the gowns expensive (starting price)?

I've called them a few times for prices on BM dresses and they have been very nice.

Yup they do flowers. I would also go to other Bridal salons and if you find a dress, call them and they will most likly beat the price. They can get almost any dress

Love, love, love Burtons and Carol!! In fact, of all the bridal salons I went to for myself, and with my sister ('04 bride) (about 25 between the two of us), they were second in service only to Helen's on Austin Blvd in Commack, and #1 in price. The only reason I didn't get my wedding dress from Helen's was b/c it is from a designer they don't carry.

Burtons may not have the dress of your dreams on hand, but if you find it elsewhere I highly recommend calling them for a price. They were $380 less expensive than the salon I found my dress at.

I will add to the raves
The price is great and they are very nice and helpful there. I went on w whim b/c I had time to kill before another appt. It was very busy but they still spent a lot of time helping me (unlike another place I went where I had an appt. and it was busy and I still had to wait half an hour)
I had been looking at David's Bridal and found a dress I liked better here that was less $$

MY gf had all our BM dresses and her gown there and when I was looking for a gown I knew I was going to go there and I am glad that I did as my gown was GREAT and the girls dresses were about 50.00 cheaper then the real price! I would give them a try for sure!

Does Burton's carry designer brands?

i absolutely loved burtons and would recommend them in a heartbeat..just some advice: find your dress elsewhere and then order it from them because they don't have too many and the space is small to try things on. they will definitely cut the price in half and they are wonderful to work with!!!

where is burton's

In Huntington on Walt Whitman Road - which runs parallel to Route 110. If you know where the Pizza Hut is on the corner of Schwab Road and Route 110, Burtons is kind of behind and next to Pizza Hut.

Re: Burton's Bridal Salon

I went there tonight, and everything you girls said is absolutely true!

Carol was great...super helpful! I gave her an idea of what I was looking for and the 3 dresses she chose for me were definitely good ones for me...she didn't try to show me anything different. She really knew her stuff..what would look good on me, etc. Everyone there was very nice. The selection wasn't great - but not bad. The 3rd dress might be the one...and the price is definitely right.

To top it off, I brought in a picture of another gown I tried on last night somewhere else...they didn't have it, but priced it for me....almost half the price of the where I tried it on!

Their alteration policy is also very reasonable...no charge for bodice work, and max of about $150 on any other alterations (hem, etc.).

Awesome! Going to another shop tomorrow, but am pretty sure I'll end up back at Burton's in the end.

Thanks to everyone for your help!

Feel free to post more comments...How are they with alterations? Do they do nice work? Do they stay on schedule?

Do they carry actual designers or are they knock-offs? No tags...and really good prices -just checking! Any suggestion on how to figure out the designer of the dress I'm interested in?
