I am a little confused...I didnt end up booking Burtons, but I am confused on their $950 Chuppah cost. I think the woman misunderstood me. She said the cost was $950 flat fee for the chuppah flowers. Did she mean the actual structure too? Anyone? She was so cut and dry that she barely took more than 2 minutes with us, so I dont think we were on the same page. The place provided the structure. I really wish I got a different salesperson b/c maybe then I wouldnt have left with such a bad taste in my mouth.

We used another florist, but they charged $800 for chuppah structure and flowers.

Re: Burton's Chuppah Charge
my florist is charging $400 for the structure and the fabric. I am not having any flowers on it. maybe the cost comes due to how elaborate the flower decor on the huppah?

Who cares? Just don't use Burton's. Way back when I was looking for I florist I called them. When I told them I was being married in a temple, the woman said she wouldn't be able to accommodate our wedding. I, personally, think she's biased. I wouldn't use them if someone paid me to.

Re: Burton's Chuppah Charge
i dont want to spread any rumors like that. I was just saying that the specific woman I got didnt seem to understand my venue and what I needed in terms of a chuppah. This was probably a very isolated situation. Burton's has a great reputation and I know people love them. They just weren't for me.

Don't spread rumors like that. There was something like this going around a few months ago and I called them out on it...Mike said 'That's ridiculous...I'm Jewish!!!!'
They are NOT biased!!

Re: Burton's Chuppah Charge
That isn't too crazy--we've been quoted at 850 for our chuppah and the florist get sto keep the bamboo after we use it!
Funny about Burtons--I cancelled an appointment there and when I called a few weeks later to make another they said they were too busy next year to see me! I am getting married on a Sunday and I can't imagine turning away business but I guess they didn't want me!

I was quoted more than that for my chuppah. I think that is a really great price.

Re: Burton's Chuppah Charge
I know that the owners of Burtons are Jewish themselves, and actually are members of my parents temple. I see you are getting married at Vineyard Caterers, and my sister got married there over the summer and she had it outside in which you don't need a chuppah at all. and I think that they have an indoor one too. I would double check
