Ok I went to see both tonight and here are my thoughts.
Both wonderful!! The price difference for what I wanted is only $500. I'm so confused -
Pedestals had a beautiful showroom and the customer service was amazing. I'm clueless about flowers and Robert took me around and explained everything to me and showed me samples and pictures. He said we could see a sample about 2 months prior and tweek it if necessary. He was amazing.
Burton's - I've heard so many wonderful things and the gentleman who helped me (I can't believe I forgot his name) was so nice, but he didn't want to talk about types of flowers or colors...he said we'd do that later. He also said he can 'throw' something together after we paid in full - a few days before the wedding. That didn't thrill me any.
In defense of Burtons, I went in May 2002 and tried to give him picks of what I wanted...rose, roses, roses...all white and lavendar. He said hold on to those picks, you never know what you will want in two years. Things change, styles change, your tastes change...In December, I walked out with this for my Feb 04 wedding...We was so right. My tastes totally changed and I found a b0-k I fell in love with. Nt lavendar and not roses!
I used Burtons for my wedding, and I was totally happy with them. Remember you can get any style bouquet and any type of flower you want. Most florists charge by the different type and kind of flower. They are really very helpful, and there really isn't a need to pick your flowers right away. They just want to know what you are going to need. It is helpful to them if you have pics. of what you want. I showed them pics., and my flowers looked identical.

I used burtons and my flowers were beyond my wildest dreams really! I worked closely with John. Gave him pics of what I imagined (as it got closer to my wedding...like several months before). What he created was what I wanted and above! If you want to see pics of my flowers let me know. They also threw in so many extra things on my wedding day to my surprise! I HIGHLY recommend them!

Burtons gives you so much more for your money and you get exactly what you expected on your wedding day .Three of my friends have used them and everything was beautiful. I know of Pedestals and feel they are over priced for what they deliver which is not always what was ordered

Oct04bride, What time did you go there yesterday? I was there too. I just booked them. The first time I met them, I felt a little weird about not discussing the exact arrangements I wanted. But I've heard a lot of great things (from people outside these boards), so I decided to book. They also had a great price.

Oh, I got there around 2:30. I didn't like the lady I was talking too. She seemed to get frustrated with all my questions. But when I met with John a while back, he was very sweet. I forgot to ask them a few question because she was making me nervous. Like, what will they charge me for rose petals and cake decoration? I will call them on tuesday to ask.
