Bussle Question

Hello- been reading through these posts and everything is so helpful.

I have a question about bussles. I bought my dress (it was a sample) and thank god. it's a perfect fit.. the only alteration I need is creating a bussle. I brought to one bridal place and they told me $50-75 depending on how I wanted it... which is totally reasonable but am on an already tight budget and have nothing to compare it to.. and I really don't want to schlep this dress all over town and have all these people touching it..

Any one have any thoughts or ideas on how much this generally costs? Thanks!

That sounds about right. My place is charging me $50 for a regular bustle and they charge either $70-80 for a French bustle.

I think I am being charged $65 for the bustle... doesn't matter what style...

Not necessarily. It depends on your dress, material and complexity of the bustle.

50-75 is very inexpensive for a bustle. most places charge about 125-150. i had a very intricate bustle and it was only $75--anything more than 150 and i think you're getting ripped off.
