Tried on dresses on Saturday for the first time. Of my two favorites: one had the detachable train and the other one bustled up. Which would you prefer if you had the choice??

Re: Bustle or detachable????
I think a detachable train would definitely be lighter (and possibly more comfortable for dancing) but it all depends on which dress you fall in love with!!

I chose with a bustle. I think it looks so pretty. I know it will be a little heavy all night, but I just think it looks so nice. I am sure whatever one you choose will look beautiful. Go for what you will be more comfortable in.

When I tried it on at the place, I made sure I sat down to see if it annoyed me and it didn't bother me at all. Plus, I know I will probably be sitting for about 10 minutes throughout the entire day.

Detachables are hard to find I think....I am no loving the idea of the bustle, but its worth it to have a little train. Besides, there are so many different types of bustles you can have...so there is bound to be one that works.

I *love* bustles and made sure every dress I tried on could french bustle. I would make the choice based on the dress, not the train...and whatever you feel you will be comfortable in. Are they both ball gown skirts?

They are both A-line. (if that's what you were asking me?)

When are you ever going to be able to wear a dress where you have to bustle...I would go with the one you love, but remember this will be the only time you can wear a dress like this.

Here is my dress. As you can see, the train is very very long. I a, glad that it is a detachable train.

Re: Bustle or detachable????
I will have a small bustle. I would have liked a detachable train(actually originally thought I would have no train at all), but the dress I fell in love with has a small attached train, who knew! I suggest going back & trying on both dresses again, you'll realize which one is meant to be!

Re: Bustle or detachable????
I like bustles -I think some of them are beautiful and add character to some dresses - I personally tended to stay away from dresses that had detachable trains b/c of friends experiences with their coming off all night. I think it is a personal experience and if the dress you love comes with one or the other

I originally wanted a dteachable, but I fell in love with a princess dress, so I went with the bustle. I am still having a removable bow that is also the cathedral train. That is coming off after the pictures.
