Did you bustle(or are going to bustle) your dress before your first dance?
I am not sure if I should bustle the back until after the first dance.
I wanted to see what you might/or did for your first dance.

Re: Bustle question...
I want an going to bustle the gown for my first dance. I have a cathedral train gown. The only other option is to hold it up by the string

Re: Bustle question...
I am bustling before the first dance.
I want my arms around his neck and not have to worry about holding up my long train. I know I'd look awkward that way. I also love my bustle, so I can show it off, lol.
Also, right after our first dance, we go straight into my dance with my dad, FH's dance with his mom, and then the toast... I don't want to miss all that and I of course don't want to have to leave the party just to get bustled once it's underway. I'm bustling as soon as I arrive at the RH!

Re: Bustle question...
I definitely want to bustle before the first dance - I personally have never been a fan of the bride holding up the train (and the crinoline etc being visible in the back) during the first dance.

Re: Bustle question...
I bustled before the first dance. It was hard enough to twirl without the train, I could not image with it. i recommend bustling because otherwise I guess you would have to leave your reception, got the bridal suite and have it bustled.

Re: Bustle question...
bustled it before the first dance. i had a semi-cathedral train...and even the dress was a little heavy. if your seamstress puts a hand loop in--its good for pics and stuff, but trust me, that loop around your wrist weighs on it, and almost hurts if you have a heavy dress.

Re: Bustle question...
I bustled mine, I refused to carry my train around-too heavy and too long It makes for great pics though if you hold it

Re: Bustle question...
I bustled before the first dance... but it didn't help! my bustle broke like 5 times that night... which means 5 buttons off down the back of my dress!

Re: Bustle question...
Bustle you will be more comfortable as soon as you get to the RH bustle JMO speaking from experience. Because at that point all you dramatic shots should have been taken you know with the train and all.
