How do you handle a response for 2 that was intended for only 1? Do we call them up and tell them? DO we let it go? I don't really want to let it go because from what I've heard this person knew only he was invited.......
I'm pissed...please help

Yeah, what she said... OR... if you want to see if more responses come in... then maybe you might need this person to hit your minimum.

Re: But SHE'S not invited!!!!!
well there's more to the story....He is 30 and she is 19 and still lives with her parents and the last time she was invited to an event she preceded to get drunk and vomit in a broken sink then his response was 'we were all young once'....If she comes to the wedding, she will be the only underage drinker there and he will be feeding her drinks and my mom and I aren't very comfortable with that........

Re: But SHE'S not invited!!!!!
in that case, i would definitely just call and say 'the whole unforunately we're keeping the wedding small and can't nvite everyone with a guest thing we had this happen, too- only in our case, it was my moms friend from HS- she never married and wasn't dating anyone seriously at the time we sent out the invites, so i just sent it to her- she sent it back with ' 2 will attend'... i was PISSED at first, but then i realized that we were only inviting 150 people to begin with, and a lot of DHs family couldn't make it cause they live out in PA.... so we just didnt' say anything.... it was just annoyng though cause she really is clueless abot how much this thing was costing us! they just had their HS reunion the other night and she didn't go cause it cost $75 a person.... if she only KNEW how much it cost us to have her at our wedding! LOL

Perfect answer!!
Don't go into the reason about her being immature and could possibly cause a sceen, he might get defensive. But make sure he understands he was invited alone, not with a guest. If you had intended him to bring a guest it would have said 'So and So and Guest'.
It's your wedding, you get to set the standards! Good Luck! Don't stress over it.

Yikes! That really is pretty rude! I agree with the ladies. It's not fair for you to have to worry about a repeat of past events the whole time at your reception. Who needs that BS!

Re: But SHE'S not invited!!!!!
I would be straight out, explain to him he is responsible for her not you.... Yuo would like that in writting as well..... The hall or you could be held accounted if anything happens to her.
Also that the invite was addresed to him only not him & guest !
Sorry

oooh yes, i like this....simply point out that you have a limit and that you invited him as 1 and you can't budge..but say it nicer than i did.
