But SHE'S not invited!!!!!

Original post by stacey&paul

How do you handle a response for 2 that was intended for only 1? Do we call them up and tell them? DO we let it go? I don't really want to let it go because from what I've heard this person knew only he was invited.......

I'm pissed...please help

well there's more to the story....He is 30 and she is 19 and still lives with her parents and the last time she was invited to an event she preceded to get drunk and vomit in a broken sink then his response was 'we were all young once'....If she comes to the wedding, she will be the only underage drinker there and he will be feeding her drinks and my mom and I aren't very comfortable with that........

While I completely agree with everyone else here in that you should just call this guy and explain that while you would like to accommodate everyone with a guest it's just not going to be possible. Having said that, if you don't want to make any waves b/c that can become a sticky situation (even though YES he's a huge jerk for just inviting himself with a guest). So if you're concerned that she'll be drinking and she's under age, be sure to let EVERYONE (bar tenders, maitre De, captains, wait staff, etc) at your reception hall know she's under age and is NOT under any circumstances to have a drink that's got alcohol in it. If you see her with a drink that seems suspicious or obvious or she starts getting out of control, insist that he and his teeny bopper date MUST leave.

I'm not in the exact same circumstance, but I have two guests coming to my wedding that have drinking problems and that's how we're approaching it. At the first sign of a problem - they're out. NO IFs ANDs or BUTs. End of story.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this BS... It stinks!
