they are fake butterfly's---they have some kind of wind-up technique so that when you open the napkin or envelope they fly up into the air--they are pretty good in size--they look to be double the size of a real butterfly
Is this to do at a wedding reception? or anywhere? Where do they go after they have been opened??

Yes there is a video in the first link i sent-- you have to click on how it works--and i don't think they would interfere with the centerpieces--they can't be that strong because they look to be made out of paper--i think its just a quick surprise for the guests --its cute because its so unexpected

YEAH NOT LIKE i expect it to knock it down by maybe break a flower make a petal fall off. The wind up thing has to be a bit hard im guessing ...yeah i have to see the video but i cant view it from work, its not working

if you like butterflies its cool, i dont like butterflies and get skeeved out by real ones, this is paper so its not bad lol

the wedding planner put them in the napkins--the napkins were folded like the triangle fortune cookie looking fold (that standard easy fold), and they were put in one of the side folds. If you have a planner or DOC, they could do it, if not maybe your Matre D

it would be way too much $$ to get 1 for each person so i think i am gonna incoperate it into my CP game. Im gonna get 2 packs and put them in a envelopes or box to pass around the table. I am gonna have 2 envelopes or boxes at each table.when it gets to the end of the game....both people will open it up and whoevers has a butterfly flying out of it wins!!!!

they are kinda small.....they can fli like 3ft or something i have to look again! you wind them up...you can use them again. put in a birthday card or something!
