Buying a gift for a family friend who is having a baby...

Hello all. I'm looking for advice from some of the moms around here. A close family friend who lives in Florida is expecting a baby very soon. I noticed they have a babiesrus registry online. Should I send a gift now or wait until the baby is born?

Is she registered??? When is the shower?? Do you know what shes having??

I would wait till the baby is born. JMO.

Since they live in Florida, I'm sure the shower already happened but that they didn't send invites to NY as gift solicitations. Yes, she is registered, and knows its a boy.
