So...I refuse to go through my bridal shop. They definitely overcharge for these things.
So....what's the process? Do you actually have to be measured for these things by a professional and order it? Where can I go for a slip...knowing it's the right size and length? I also want it to add some fullness to my dress....
And how much should I expect to spend? Should I just wait until my dress is in?
Thanks!!

Re: Buying a slip....
One of the girls i work with worked at davids bridal and told me they are all the same size and when you get altered they also alter the slip if needed to make it shorter. Im getting mine at davids they run about $75.00 alot cheap ive heard than most bridal salons..

Re: Buying a slip....
I went to Blum's (East Main Street in Patchogue). They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

I got mine off of e-bay and when I bring it for my first fitting, they can hem it for me.

I actually have the same question about this. Lillette's costs about $125 I think.

Re: Buying a slip....
one word: EBAY
I got a slip with one hoop (another LIW bride recommended a hoop slip becuase you don't have tons of scratchy layers right against your legs...), and a stretchy waistline on ebay. It was inexpensive, and I got it really quickly.
It came from china, so now I have Mao stamps too!
