I am getting married in Sept. '02, so obviously my RSVPs are not in yet. However, I would love to take advantage of the NJ Mikasa sale. That said, has anyone gotten their favors before they knew how many were coming? If so, did you have leftover favors...or not enough??

Buying favors before the RSVPs are in
I bought my favors several months before my invitations went out. I have not recieved RSVP's yet but I too wanted to take advantage of some great deals. I bought one for each guest that I was inviting. I am sure that I will have many leftover but it was worth it for me to get those deals. Also I wont mind having extras b/c I can use them so they wont go to waste.

I agree with Diana L. you have nothing to lose, rather have too many than too little you can always find a use for the leftovers.

What someone did with extra favors...
We just threw a bridal shower for my friend, and her cousin who just got married is also in the bridal party. During the shower, we played Bridal Bingo, and the winners (not from her side of the family) received one of her left over favors! It worked out great and people loved the idea...good luck!

Thanks for the ideas
Thanks for all the responses! I like the idea of sending them to the people who could not come but send a gift.
