Buying or Renting?

When you ladies get married, will you be buying a house or renting an apartment? My fiancé and I still have a while (we actually aren't even sure if we will be living on LI in the next 6 months), but we started talking about whether we should buy a house or rent. As long as we are on LI, we are TRYING to live at my parents house rent-free for as long as possible to save money.

We bought a house 6 months ago. We refuse to pay someone else's mortgage. My parents rent out a couple of their houses and so does my FHs parents. Buy buy buy!! It's a great investment for your future.

We're currently renting and our lease is up November 2015, exactly 6 months after the wedding. We've been to a few open houses but it's been very overwhelming with the planning and house hunting. I'm going to wait till after the wedding to start the house process again.

Our plan was to buy we have been looking for over a year now close to 2. We walked away from one house, had to reevaluate, we did found some note houses and lost them all!! I'm so sad bc we r six month away and I want a place of our own after we get married. We r in his father's basement in basically a studio with our 80 lbs pit. Finding an apartment is going to be hard with him!! Wish me luck going out again in about an hr to look at more houses!!

I currently live in Nebraska in an apartment with my FH. We are moving within the next 6 months to somewhere closer to NY (but don't know where yet. Buying a house isn't really an option for us until we can seriously commit to staying in the same location for more than 5 years.
