BYO caterer

Hi! I am trying to find a BYO caterer venue on Long Island. I'm looking for something with a more natural feel (trees not beach) for 130 guests. Like most brides I'm trying to keep costs to a minimum so would like the site fee to be less than $4000. I am considering the Bates House in Setauket but would really like to see other venues. And I want somewhere that I don't need to bring in porta potties. Thanks!

Bailey Arboreteum in Lattington. Site fee is reasonable but you have to rent your own tent.

If you really like a caterer, try calling them and ask where they have done recent weddings?

BTW I strongly considered going this route. If you’re okay with a little more DIY, I looked up location sites for filming (think mansions or outdoor spaces where movies film on Long Island) and contacted those sites about getting event permits. Again, this is a lot more work because you have to rent and source all your equipment, and honestly it really isn’t less expensive than a catering hall.
