C & H bridal Calling Bride2Be
Well, I went today! And I couldn't believe how nice she was and so attentive! You were right, it is a small place, we drove past it and had to go around the block!
She sat me down, I showed her how I wll wear my hair, she clipped it back and tried about 20 different headpieces on me.
I was originally going to buy my headpiece at Edward Berger untill I went here!
What a large selection, I was blown away!!
Ang guess what? I thought I wanted a 2 tier cathedral veil. I was wrong. I need a 3 tier since I want the waterfall look. She said after i remove the cathedral part, I'd be left with 1 tier, and there wouldn't be enough body for the waterfall look.
I told her you sent me and she mentioned more than once how pretty your dress is! Did you bring the dress in or show her a picture?
I also got swatches of white & diamond white and I was so surprised of how different the 2 look! I am so glad I did this. Tomorrow I have to go to moms and pull my dress out of the closet to see which color I need. Although my dress says its white, I need to hold the swatches against my dress.
Thanks Bride2Be. I was almost as happy as the day I bought my dress. I am going back In late October with my mom to pick a headpice (i was stuck on 2, and FH was waiting outside, couldn't ask him!) and she will start making my veil. I am going to have tiny pearls & crystals scattered and get the rolled edge!

Re: C & H bridal Calling Bride2Be
i didn't purchase the headpiece yet. i was undecided between 2 of them so i want to go back with my mom & MOH.C&H is in Manhattan, on 40th st between 7 & 8 avenues.
I was searching for a place to custom make my veil, and thanks to Bride2Be, she sent me to the perfect place! They have SO many headpiece choices! As well as veils, you pick the length and how you want it designed, rolled edge, satin edge, pearls, etc.
I am going back in late October.
Christy, If you need any more info let me know

Re: C & H bridal Calling Bride2Be
jennbaby...I am so happy you had a great experience. I am sitting here with a big smile on my face.
Sounds like you had a wonderful experience. This woman has a great memory. When you go back in October, she will know everything about you. I called one day, didn't identify myself and she somehow recognized who I was.
I was also torn between 2 headpieces..there were so many to choose from.
I didn't bring my dress in but I brought pictures of my dress. I have a lot..2 the mfg sent me and a bunch I took from when I bought the dress. (I have my first fitting next week..so I will bring my veil and headpiece to see the whole thing together for the 1st time)
I always am nervous about recommending places because everyone has such different tastes and stuff. And with the place being so small and looking the way it does some people may get turned off. I am glad to here you had such a great experience.
Keep me posted on the details and post picture if you can!

Re: C & H Bridal was great
I used them when I got married in Feb 01 and they were amazing. I also got my gloves there for the bridal party and the lady did not even charge me extra for putting pearls on the gloves for my jr. bridesmaid. I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone

Re: C & H Bridal was great
What are their prices? I'm interested in a cathedral length veil and I also want something that can be removed but have a shorter veil left.

Re: C & H Bridal was great
That's the type of veil I got. Catherdral, 2-tier fingertip and a sparkly headpiece. The veils and headpiece ran me a little under $300 in total.

Re: C & H Bridal was great
Wow that's a great deal, the salon I purchased my gown from wants $225.00 just for the 1 tier cathedral veil that does'nt include anything else. I will definitely consider checking out that place.Bridetobe= I actually had wrote back to you on another thread, I wanted to know what kind of flowers and colors you were using.

Re: C & H Bridal was great
Sorry. There has been so much activity on this board lately that posts seem to get buried. I will have to go find it. Did you post your dress? This veil place has great prices. I know in my dress shop the headpieces ran about $500 alone and I didn't love any. This shop is tiny but I got personal attention and great prices. If you go, bring pictures of your dress or styles of veils you like and then the woman can work with you.
I am not sure yet about my flowers. I am thinking some kind of fall color arrangement for the BM's (my centerpieces are going to be a fall colors) and for me I have no idea. I change my mind all the time. I am thinking I may go simple for me being my dress is so detailed. I have to make an appointment to meet with my florist to decide. I have a meeting with my hall mid-September so I may wait until after that to meet with the florist. With my florist you don't have to decide anything until this final meeting (as far as bouquets).
PS If I don't respond try sending me Forum Mail. I do check that.
