Cable/phone/internet options for LI? poll & ?'s

I'm looking into options for phone, cable, and internet and I don't know where to start. Its been awhile since I lived in NY...

What cable company do you use, and how much is basic service with HBO? All I know on LI is cablevision.

Does anyone have a package deal - supplying cable, phone & internet? I really just need the phone line for TIVO.

We're spoiled with wireless DSL now (paid for by my landlord) - there's no way we can go back to dial-up

I have optonline. It's through Cabelvision. The cable bill is crazy! We have the middle cable package, and there never seems to be anything good on. Always the same movies. I also heard that Cable prices are going to go up soon. Not too sure when though.

We use Optimum Online for Internet access, and Direct TV for television. We find we get more for our $$ from Direct TV then Cabelivision.

We have Optonline.

I have to say Cablevision is my pet peeve. I have the Family Package and Optonline and it cost us 93 and change a month. I think it is ridiculous, but if go down to the standard package we have to pay $10 more dollars for Optonline. It is a catch 22.

we're paying ~$85 now for cable & phone (through RCN). Didn't know how that'd compare to LI prices.

or how much it would be to continue with wireless dsl...

I have cablevision for digital cable, internet and for digital phone ($34.95 a month!!!)
Our bill is pretty big every month but it's all three together and our phone bill used to be huge.

We just moved and switched everything from Cablevision. We got DirectTV and Verizon DSL. So far everything is great and we are saving $$ not using cable.

Right now I have Cablevision - Silver package(?) - basically regular services with sports and HBO with cable modem. It costs about $122 or so a month. I never really explored options outside cable service for TV and internet (just wanted it to get done quickly). It kills me because I paid less for Time Warner and RR in the city and had more channels! Eventually I will explore other options because I am not 100% happy with Cablevision price and service.

We have cable/internet cable modem/phone line through Cablevision, and so far so good.. Check out Optimum Voice.. I like it b/c it's way cheaper than verizon, and you get it all in one bill..

Editted to say that we have the silver package.. =)
