I booked my bachlorette party to Cabo, Mexico for July. Now, I'm getting some feedback from some of the girls regarding concerns with the Mexican drug crimes and kidnappings. Has anyone been to Mexico recently and have feedback. I am wondering if I should cancel and go somewhere else. TIA.

I went to cabo over the summer and it was safe. I stayed in La Estancia and it was amazing!!! Had a great time. The clubs were 10-15 minutes walking distance and we walked every single night with no problem. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. I had the same concerns before going, but once I got there, my concerns were all gone. You girls will have an amazing time!!!

i really wanted to go to Cabo for the HM but FH isn't thrilled with the idea so that isn't happening. if they're really concerned and you can cancel without loosing any $ then i'd say do it. i wouldnt want my girls worried about something happening and not enjoying the trip.

Thanks Ladies, if we cancel we will lose $$, if we cancel Cabo, we arent going to be going anyplace else. I mean, several friends of mine went to Cancun recently, with no issues too. Ugh - I guess its a decision we are going to have to make together!

What I have heard from a lot of people is those crimes are very situated and not really in any of the resort areas but closer to border etc. . but I am sure you will be fine. . just no backpacking in chiapas! and have fun!

Those crimes are happening SOO far from Cabo. There is only 1 bridge into and out of Cabo so they arent going into Cabo. And once your on your resort you really dont have to leave. If you got an all inclusive then everything you need is on your resort. The kidnappings are happening in a TOTALLY different spot from Cabo so dont worry! Youll be fine!
Thats awesome that your going away like that for your bachelorette. Cabo is expensive.
Im going there for my HM! CANT WAIT!

CABO IS SOOOOOOOOO NICE!! Are you staying near downtown cabo. FH and I went there two years ago for a vacation. We were 2 minute ride from downtown cabo. It is sooooo amazing there. A little pricier then other places in mexico but well worth it. The food is amazing! Just ask people that work at your hotel what they recommend. We hit up the tourists places and the local amazing restuarants. Its so nice bc most of the places are owned by retired people from California. No joke amazing food!! Def venture out!! Make sure you go to CABO WABO!! The band is amazing I wanted to book them for our wedding. (Ha that was before we got engaged) lol ENJOY IT!!!

Thank you ladies - yes, the group is all aware and no matter where we go we are always vigilant! I am less concern because of your posts. We are staying at the Riu Palace in Cabo and it is an all exclusive. I will post everything when I get back - of course its 4 month away!
