Cabo or San Jose del Cabo

Anyone ever been? If so, what is a great place to stay?

I have been to Cabo twice. I love the Pueblo Bonito holistic resort - Pacifica. It is adults only and they have a wonderful spa.

We stayed at Marina Fiesta. It's in in the heart of Cabo san lucas, right at the Marina, where all the bars, restaurants and shopping is located. It's a close walk to the beach, and close the THE ARCH. They were very accommodating there, very friendly and attentive. I would recommend going there, I dont think its overly expensive either. We would go back in a minute. Cabo was the best vacation!

we stayed at the Playa del sol. Although on the beach, swimming was prohibited. It was awesome; there were 3 pools, the room was huge and about 4 people could fit in the bathtub! :) We took taxis to town, about 5 minutes away.

We stayed at the Melia in Cabo San Lucas. FH and I both LOVED it.

I've been to Cabo twice...Stayed once at the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar (fantastic) and once at the Hilton! I loved both and would stay at either one again in a heartbeat!

If you go, stay closer to Cabo San Lucas.

We stayed in San Jose del Cabo and although it was nice, the major downtown area is in San Lucas and from San Jose - it's a $30 cab ride or a very long bus ride! Some people we became friends with at our resort rented a car and drove us down one night and we did the bus/cab thing another night.

There are a lot of very nice hotels that run in between the two cities along the tourist corridor. I believe the Riu is one of the closest ones to downtown San Lucas.
