Cabo vs Aruba

Cabo vs Aruba

Fh and I are throwing around places to go to for our HM.

We were set on Aruba until he spoke to one of his client's today who has been to both and this guy told him Cabo all the way.

I don't know how I feel about going to Mexico but his client said Cabo is very lively.

I did make a post about Aruba last week but anyone go to Cabo? If so, what's your likes and dislikes?

Personally I think I'd want to still go to Aruba but when I googled Cabo I couldn't narrow down a good hotel.

Me too, I don't think I want to go near Mexico anytime soon but I was just curious if anyone's ever been to Cabo before.

Aruba, hands down. I wouldn't be nervous about Mexico, I went there last year, and there's nothing to be afraid of. Cabo is pretty, but it wouldn't be my top pick for a honeymoon. When I was in Mexico, I felt like everyone was waiting with their palms out for tips. It just irked me.
Aruba has beautiful weather, beautiful beaches (no one will be trying to sell you things or braid your hair while you are trying to take a nap on the beach), and the friendliest people you will ever meet!

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm definitely leaning more towards Aruba but fh can be easily influenced at times when it comes to vacation spots.

Aruba def! I have never been before but my future mother-in-law goes all the time there on vacation and loves it. I have yet to hear anything negative about it.

Like I mentioned before I put a post up about Aruba about a week ago but we were thinking of the Hyatt Regency Casino & Resort in Aruba.

The pictures look beautiful but fh's client said there's a lot of old people that go there. Is this true? Or is it a mixed crowd?

What about restaurants? Is the food good there? I've been to Punta Cana DR and we stayed at the Majestic Elegance when it first opened and personally I hated the food. We ran to Wendy's right before we boarded the plane to come home.

No, I would say the crowd is pretty mixed. I never noticed many older people there, there are plenty of young couples that honeymoon there. The food is awesome! Not too many resorts are all inclusive in Aruba, so you have your choice of restaurants. El Gaucho Steakhouse, and Madame Jeanette's are fantastic! And Amici gelato for dessert! YUMMY!!!!

never been to ARUBA but CABO is awesome we stayed at the RIU absolutley beautiful -we went snorkeling, took a catamaran ride, sunset cruise - great night life - El Squid Ro. FM me if you want more info I can go through my stuff

My vote is Aruba!!! I'm a little bias because I've been there for 13 years in a row..... I go for 2 weeks every year and LOVE it!

We stayed here too and it was nice.. and relaxing.. and all inclusive.

I don't think you can go bad either way.

THIS!!!! Aruba is total relaxation!! No one bothers you on the beaches or walking around town!

I would say it is a mixed crowd. There are so many good restaurants in Aruba, especially right in the Palm Beach area. FM if you want a list of excellent restaurants to eat at. We were never disappointed any meal we had in Aruba!

i have been to aruba and not to cabo - however a group of friends just came back from vaca there about 2 weeks ago

from what they said cabo is more of a fun/party place with not too much to do outside the resort. Aruba on the other hand has more of a romantic feel and also has activities and partying...its the best of both worlds imo

i might be biased since we're going to Aruba for our honeymoon, but i think Aruba is better if you want more of a relaxing low-key honeymoon, but if your into the nightlife than i say Cabo is the way to go, it just depends what you want out of your honeymoon. Aruba has less nightlife than Mexico which is good for us bc we're not big partiers and are looking to just relax in the sun.

My aunts a travel agent and said iberostar in mexico was amazinggg.. She said its all inclusive and everything is topnotch. I know a few girls on here went to mexico and said it was fine but i know what you mean

Me and FH are debating between Aruba and Cabo as well. But we are leaning more towards CAbo. I heard great things about aruba but not many places are all inclusive (which are are really looking for) and i heard it doesnt really have much of a night life.

Ive been to Aruba and so has some of my family members. Hands down, it's the best choice. Weather is always great, the Hyatt is a beautiful hotel choice (not sure where you said you were thinking of staying).
