Ok so i was inform by a guest that the RH cake is disgusting. I really dont trust her i dont know her i just meet her the that night she told me. So i dont know if its true or not. They RH is Leonard's of Great Neck. If anybody been then and taste the cake i would appericiate your comments. She also said it was a communion cake not a wedding cake dont know if that matters

Re: Cake
Did you not get a sample tasting of the cake? I was told that the same way you get the food tasting, there is a tasting for the cake, I mean how are you supposed to pick what you like if you dont know what it tastes like?

Re: Cake
Try Bruce's Bakery in Great Neck. It's a legacy bakery, having been there for many decades. They offer tastings for brides and grooms.

Re: Cake
Lots of bakeries will give you a tasting. Our venue does not include cake so we tried a number of bakeries. La Bonna Boulangerie & Dortonis (sister stores) were by the far the BEST we tried!

Re: Cake
I am booked with leonards and there is a cake tasting. I haven't gone to mines as of yet. I do not eat anything sweet so FH gets to decide everything for the cake. My cousin got married at leonards last year and even though I didn't have the cake, I did not hear anyone complain about it being bad. HTH

Re: Cake
I went to the cake tasting at Leonards. It was awful!!!! I am waiting to meet with the banquet manager and see what we can do about it. I think we are just getting our cake from another place.
