So we got in our cake boxes last night and we're kind of stumped. Should we go ahead and assemble them and let the hall just slide the cake slice in, or leave it for them to assemble?
We are going to tie a ribbon around it not have the flower on the end.
check with the hall how much they are going to charge if they do the assembly and inserting the cakes. if they could do it at no charge, i'd say go for it!

Well my BM said they are not going to charge for placing the slices in the boxes. I guess I am concerned that the slices will get smushed.
But you know what, at this point, does it really matter. Ugh, I am so done with all these little details.
Thanks girls.

I have cake boxes also and I plan on assembling the boxes and putting the cake in myself becasue I dont want the cake to look all messed up. I also dont want cake all over the side of the boxes and i am just concerned they wont be as careful as i will.

Re: Cake Box Question (Xpost from 10 boards)
I actually had these for the cake pieces that were being handed out to the guests. We already had plated desert, so we opted on giving cake to take home. It worked out nicely, but I recommend if you are thinking about doing this, decorate it with something you can just stick on. We did ribbon and it was a nightmare.
