Cake confusion

Cake confusion

Need some advice on what may look good.

Here is a picture of my cake topper (not really a 'topper'...) and my cake (which will be 3 tiers, not 4) I'm also planning on having coral/pink colored ribbon but no flowers on top like the picture shows.

Do you think I should have the bakery add pastry flowers to the top at all, or on the sides? I don't want to take away from the design on the cake but I also don't know if I should leave the top bare?!

Thoughts???

I would leave as is, you are right it may take away form everything else

maybe a dock or something in fondant to go with the topper?

If he's sitting on the very top tier, then no.

If he's sitting on a lower tier, then yes to the gum paste flowers.

ETA: Or maybe a gum paste bow. I feel like that's a little less busy than flowers.
