Does anyone know the typical cost or have a quote for a 4 tier wedding cake with fondant?

it really depends on the place, but they tend to charge per slice- i think my friend paid like $10/slice which would be about 2k for 200 guests. I have heard of people paying for like 3/4 of the guests and then paying for a large sheet cake to cut in the back- so that could be a cheaper alternative as well.my cake is included with my venue so I'm not really that much help lol sorry

Depends on icing, filling and design.I got quotes from $4/slice to $8/slice. You can do sheet cake for $1.50/slice with a smaller wedding cake.

I'm a Fox Hollow bride as well, and I went to their local cake shop which is Francesco's, at the Hicksville location and they were really helpful and willing to discuss pricing and any other questions you may have...I didn't do fondant but I did do my top tier in red velvet, which was only $25.00...I didn't do fondant(because I personally am not a fan of it) but that is extra, I forget how much he said because I was not interested in it...But yea, def go to the cake shop...You get a cake tasting and get to pick out the designs you want :)

i wanted fondants as well, but make sure that you try the fondant at the bakery you go with because it's sososo different everywhere you go... Also, keep an open mind to flavors and icings. I found that buttercream tasted way better and I didn't think I was going to want to go that route..

It's $300 lol Chateau Briand uses the same bakery. I want to do it (for the look I want) but I am so torn if I should or shouldn't.

See if you can see a portfolio or pictures of the way they do buttercream frosting. I've seen some wedding cakes that had the smoothest frosting, it looked almost exactly like fondant but it was buttercream.

Floral Terrace includes the cake but they use Buttercooky bakery if you want to check about pricing. I bought a cannoli cake today for my dad's birthday today and it was yummy!!!

Also I would stay away from fondant because although it looks beautiful, most people don't care for the taste of it.Welcome New Vendors
