Our band played sort of a medly for the cake cutting - how Sweet It Is by JT and Sugar Sugar by the Archies. It was great!!!

For our last song, we chose the theme from Dirty Dancing (Time of my Life). It's a long-ish song and it went over really well.

we used 64 for cake (sorry can't help you there)
but for our last song we used 'My first, my last, my everything' Barry White...I loved it!!!

I've been to many weddings with such great songs. My favorites were: These are the Days by Natalie Merchant for the cake cutting song and Closing Time or The Time of Your Life for the last dances. Thanks for the great suggestions above!

I think we are going to use 'Never knew love like this before' for the last dance - I actually am not sure if that is the title of the song, but that is the refrain. It's upbeat and not overused.

We used 'How Sweet It Is (To Be In With You)' By James Taylor for cake cutting.

New York, NY for last dance. We got married 9/15 and had already picked that song but it really had a different meaning that night. To me that is just the best song to end a NY wedding.

I also like Love and Marriage for cake cutting.

The only song that I know I want to use is for the cake cutting. There's a cute country song 'wrapped around her finger' (I think that's the name) that came out not too long ago. It's not super country, but it's it makes me laugh every time I hear it.
