I'm bringing in an outside cake.... my hall took off $1.50 per person. My friend is making the cake for me, though I am not sure how much she is charging yet.

Hi! I need two favors. First, has anyone (or is anyone) getting an 'outside' cake to bring into their hall? If so, did your hall give you a credit? Also, what did it cost at the bakery?
And second...... do we have a cake thread? I couldn't find one!

my sister is a pastry chef she use to do cakes with cheryl kleinman in brooklyn. so she is doing my cake.
my hall is giving me the chocolate foutain instead of my cake. even trade for them.
and there is a cake thread on here somewhere.
Some halls will ask that you sign a 'food waiver'...I'd find out first before making any decisions.
