cake help!

cake help!

So I bought these gray 1920’s rubber duckies (they are supposed to be like a “black and white” photo) that I am using for my cake topper. I was thinking of having the whole cake in shades of gray to match. The colors of my wedding are jewel tones of purple blue and green with a touch of gold- do you think the cake will look to somber? I like the cake below but with light grey, not white

Edit cause i couldn't get the pics to post, but i figured it out!

Im having grey on mine and adding little clusters of flowers. It looks beautiful. Another 2011 bride had something similar.

I think it would look really nice. If you wanted you could add a little pop of color with flowers or a little sparkle.

Agreed! Beautiful cake, especialyl with that gold trim, a pop of color would look gorgeous!

are you going to make the banding on the cake a color? like either the purple or green? because if you stick with just one of those, and still use the grey i think it will look nice.
