Re: cake knifes

if you dont get one you can use the halls, but you dont get to keep it...

the whole idea being you buy one, have it for the wedding, then keep it and you can display or use it after that.. possibly pass it onto your kids...

i think things remembered sells them if you ar e limited on time

we have the same ones! We got it as a gift. One less thing to have to buy!

But i'm sure the hall can provide if you don't want to buy them.

Re: cake knifes

I got mine from Ebay.

But you can get them at most department stores that have bridal registries and at Party City. Things Remembers has some and you can get you names and wedding date engraved on it.

Re: cake knifes

I got mine engraved from www.orientaltrading.com for $12. Silver plated. I think I'll use them all the time - whenever I have cake.

Re: cake knifes

MOH gave me a set at E-Party Lenox 'wedding promises' that itsbouttime posted a photo of. I love them and I am going to register for matching chanpagne flutes.

Stores like fortunoffs and high end stationary/collectible stores have sets, like Peter Andrews in Williston Park or Colony in Lake Success. Bed Bath and Beyond might carry them too. I think that Michael's craft stores might have something you can decorate too.

We are getting this one from Things Remembered.

It is a silver server set with Authentic Swarovski crystals accenting the brushed silver handles of both knife and server.
