They are both really cute ideas but if you are going with a Yankee theme, you should definitely do the 2nd cake only because the yankee pinstripes go down. I love the idea though! Very original!

I love the second one and I def. don't think it's too much as long as you stay within ur ideas. I love the thin stripe idea. It's perfect!I can't wait to see pics!

We can't do that, honestly... FW doesn't even want a theme, and her folks would NOT go for a baseball theme (they're good folks, but in some ways, they're kinda old fashioned)
Like I said, sis, living vicariously through you.It may be too much, pricewise, and if so, I'd go with the stripes down, but maybe a likkel thinner.

seriously though, one of the reasons i've been active on here as a groom is to find out more about this stuff, since i've been doing a lot of the initial vendor legwork with fw in the classroom all day,. Also, I get to be a to be a voice out there as part of this conversation, which I feel like can always help the fellas who don't know about this stuff, and the ladies who would like a guy's perspective.
but seriously, though, there's still time. you could do a yankees theme wedding. EVERYONE SHOULD DO ONE (since I can't)

don't think so...although she did use 'Ready 4 this' as the music for her BP to enter, which is what I'm using as well. There might have been little Yankee mentions though- I think her table numbers each represented places and things they like to do......

I would normally say #1...but b/c you are trying to do a Yankee theme I would definitely do the second one...its more yankee like to me. Maybe you could just make the stripes a little skinnier instead of even

I definitely think # 2 is more 'yankee' like., and will get the idea across....but if you are already incorporating a lot of yankee-related ideas then # 1 might be more subtle.
