Did you buy ribbons, etc for your cake before or after you spoke to the baker? Also when did you meet with the baker?

met with the baker like 3 weeks in advance
bought the rhinestoen trim after i met with him
he was useless so i bought a lot more than i needed
they still got the cake wrong.
i even attached a pic of the exact cake i wanted. all they had to do was make a PLAIN WHITE SQ cake. i got one with dots and bows

I bought the ribbon after I met with the maitre'd from the hall (we used a house cake).
